Al Trent

Al Trent is a wood sculptor and educator recently relocated to Johnson County from Laramie, Wyoming where he taught art and literacy at the University of Wyoming. Trent is co-author of the new book, Art Integration for Elementary Teachers.

Trent creates contemporary sculptures and relief sculptures from various hardwoods and plywoods. Al works in series, typically making multiple sculpture or relief sculpture pieces based on a theme, idea, or process. Recent series include wood: “assemblages,” “mosaics,” “weavings,” and “appropriations.”
