Bio

Corey Jones, aka “The Artist Chief,” is a 48-year-old artist based out of Springfield, MO. He was inspired at an early age by comic strip artists like Jim Davis and comic book artists such as Jim Lee, Andy Kubert, and Todd McFarlane. A diehard Kansas City Chiefs superfan, he works primarily with acrylic paint on canvas, with most of his subject matter focused on Kansas City Chiefs players—past and present.

His paintings have helped raise money for numerous charities, including Feed The Kids, The Boys and Girls Club of Joplin, MO, One Goal KC, Bra Couture KC, HopeKids KC, the Spencer Ware and Sickle Cell Foundation, Alison’s Allies (fundraising for breast cancer), Always and Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary in Spring Hill, KS, The Children’s Miracle Network of KC, Black Widow Raiders Charity, JReid Indeed, and SuperKids KC. He has also donated artwork to Kansas City Chiefs players and personalities such as L’Jarius Sneed, Darwin Thompson, Christian Okoye, Dante Hall, Chris Jones, Charcandrick West, B. Kissel, Larry Johnson, Tamba Hali, Patrick Mahomes, and Justin Reid. In addition, he completed a commissioned piece for Patrick Mahomes Sr.

In 2016, Corey was commissioned to paint a mural for Willard South Elementary School in Springfield, Missouri. He was featured in a story on ArrowheadGuys.com in April 2019 and later that year, in September, was interviewed on the “Tall, Dark and Random” podcast with Nicholas Grooms. In January 2020, his artwork appeared on Cuento Coffee’s “St. Patrick of Arrowhead” brand of coffee beans.
