Norma Herring Welcomes FACS Teachers to the Gallery
Images Art Gallery artist Norma Herring recently hosted the Greater Kansas City Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) Teachers for a tour of the gallery.
An invitation from the first career
Before Norma Herring was an artist at Images Art Gallery, she was a Registered Dietitian and the connection with her first professional family remains. The Greater Kansas City Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Teachers, the regional network of educators teaching what many of us knew as home economics, invited Norma to their luncheon meeting at The Other Place. This group wanted to know more about Norma's watercolors.
The Tour
So they planned a visit to the gallery. Former colleagues joined Norma to see where she shows her work. Norma talked about her paintings, answered questions, and showed them around the space she calls her artistic home.
"It was my pleasure to discuss my art and show them our lovely gallery." Norma said.
Full Circle
As a full time working studio artist at Images Gallery, Norma watercolors can be found at Images Gallery. Stop by and see them in person.
